On October 6, 1998, Tadamitsu Saito held a piano and synthesizer

performance at the Herodes Atticus Odeum at the Acropolis.

All the proceeds from the ticket sales benefited UNICEF.

We all have turning points in our lifetimes.

I encountered one when I was past 30, attending a seminar, whereI witnessed blue light radiating beautifully from the lecturer himself.His words sounded authentic and real. The more he spoke, the stronger the light became, so as finally to fill the lecture hall. We found ourselves in a state of great happiness.

As I had been pursuing the meaning of life and the way to realize peace, this experience showed me the direction I should head for.

We are losing this light. We have weakened the vital energy we need to live for tomorrow. Under this insight, I began my own study and I realized that the incident at the seminar was not a special or particular case but that it could happen to any one of us. In the process of my pursuit, I started to play the piano as one way of expressing the light of each one of us.

That waning light is still radiating from our bodies. If it were to be extinguished our earth would cease to glow with its energy.

Life shines beautifully. May glory come to your life and to the future of mankind.

As you made a great achievement of unique concerts in many cities of the world, we wish you success for this concert at the Herod Atticus Odeum, the proceeds of which benefit the program of UNICEF for the poor children.

On behalf of the Municipality of Athens and her citizen, we would like to highly appreciate that you send an opportune message to the poor children all the world over.
